These paintings were inspired by living and worked in Australia. They are among some of my first large-format abstract paintings, and were inspired by the expansive coastal and desert landscapes and the vivid, enveloping colour. The loss of scale and the liberating feeling of insignificance that experienced when walking in the pink light of the desert, still influence her work today.
