Rachael's current research is focussed upon how artist's books, collage and screen printing can be used to visualise history. Current projects include Tyneham Stories which aims to convey the story of a village abandoned during WWII, and Time After Time, a triptych which sets out to depict the extraordinary national and global events that occurred between 2016 and 2021 - this work has a particular focus on politics, the environment and the interconnectedness of all things.
She has also had journals articles published about design pedagogy, the use of collage in design education and inter-disciplinary approaches to teaching design and she has written a book titled Materials and the Interior which was published by Laurence King in 2012.
